Vietnamese Teachers’ Day Celebrated
In a national atmosphere of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day 38th anniversary (20/11/1982-20/11/2020), School of Foreign Languages solemnly organized an honoring meeting and a folk game competition.
This event is an opportunity to revise glorious traditions and to show the gratitude, praise and veneration towards teachers of School of Foreign Languages, TNU. It is also an opportunity for the School to honor collectives and teachers who have many contributions and achieve outstanding success in teaching, scientific research and competitions organized by School. This is also a convenience for all students of the School to show their traditions of teacher reverence, or “being grateful for your blessings”, and to express their gratitude to the teachers who have been teaching at School of Foreign Languages.
The meeting was attended by Associate Professor Tran Viet Khanh – Deputy President of Thai Nguyen University (TNU), Dr Nguyen Tat Thang- Chairman of the Trade Union and Head of Department of Student Affairs, TNU, Dr Le Hong Thang – Party Committee Secretary and Rector of School of Foreign Languages, Dr Luu Quang Sang – Vice Rector of School of Foreign Languages, Union executive committee, Youth Union, Student Association, leader of units and offices, the whole teaching and officer staff, and student representatives in the School. Especially, former retired leaders and lecturers also partook in the meeting.
At the ceremony, Associate Professor Tran Viet Khanh – Deputy President of Thai Nguyen University delivers a welcome speech to congratulate teachers of School of Foreign Languages. He acknowledged and highly appreciated the great contributions of teachers in education and improving training quality of the School. He wishes all the teachers of School good health and more success in their noble teaching career, worthy of being the ones who give wings to every young generation in Vietnam.
Also at this year’s celebration, on behalf of the Thai Nguyen University’s Board of Presidents, Dr Nguyen Tat Thang- Trade Union Chairman awards the medal ” For education career” by the Minister of Education and Training to the Dr Luu Quang Sang- Vice Rector of School of Foreign Languages, and allocates certificates of merit to staffs with impressive performance in 2019-2020. At the same time, organizers of “School of Foreign Languages’s Logo Design” contest announce the results and allot certificates to the most impressive and creative authors/group of authors.
As a part of activity series to celebrate 38th anniversary of Vietnamese Teacher’s Day, Trade Union of Foreign Languages School organizes the competition “folk games 2020” for creating a healthy and useful playground for civil servants of the School. The high-spirited competition entails Vietnamese traditional games such as mandarin square capturing, guessing objects, lightning quiz, bamboo jacks, and hopscoth. The competition creates not only a useful playground for each union member after stressful working hours, but also an opportunity to keep them energized, improve the mental life and strengthen solidarity among officers.
The meeting of 38th Vietnamese Teacher’s Day anniversary of School Foreign Languages ends in a joyful and warm atmostphere. Honored and proud, every single teacher, officer, and employee of the School will always try their best to develop the School to become a pivotal regional university in terms of human resources training and readiness to satisfy the increasing social demands.
